A large vintage cocktail ring featuring a prominent oval abalone shell cabochon. The shell exhibits characteristic natural iridescence with swirling patterns of blue, green, and purple. The shell is bezel-set within a decorative silver-toned mount of high profile. The setting is embellished with intricate foliate and floral designs in relief, including cast layered leaves, scrollwork, and a single stylised flower head to one side. The shoulders and shank are decorated with further scrollwork and linear patterns. Small marks are present to the interior of the shank, although these are not clearly legible. The ring is consistent in style with mid-20th-century artisan silver jewellery.
