A collection of vintage ephemera relating to York Rugby League Football Club Ltd, dating from approximately 1955 to 1976. The lot contains various membership booklets, season tickets, and supporters club cards primarily associated with the club’s Clarence Street Ground in York. The contents include approximately twelve pocket-sized Supporters Club booklets in red, blue, and dark blue colours, covering seasons from 1966-67 through to 1975-76. Also included are two tan and brown booklets for the Supporters Committee for the 1961-62 and 1963-64 seasons. The collection features six membership and season cards in pink, yellow, orange, and light blue for the years 1955-56, 1956-57, 1959-60, 1960-61, and 1971/72. A brown complimentary pass booklet for the 1967-68 season is present, along with a larger yellow membership book for the Federation of Yorkshire Rugby League Supporters Clubs for the 1969-70 season. Several items bear the handwritten name of the original owner, E. W. Horsley. Club official information is visible on some cards, identifying Secretary R. Walker of St. Stephens Road, Acomb, York. Printing is credited on at least one item to Cobb and Smith, Printers, York.
