A collection of framed prints, featuring portraits of renowned classical composers and narrative genre scenes. The composer portraits appear to be late 19th or early 20th-century frontispieces or bookplates, likely sourced from a series of musical biographies. Identified subjects include George Frideric Handel (after the painting by Balthasar Denner), Franz Schubert (credited to Rischgitz), Richard Wagner (featuring a printed facsimile signature), Johannes Brahms (after a photograph by Rumpf), Ludwig van Beethoven (credited as a frontispiece and to Rischgitz), Franz Liszt (presented in a circular format), and Frédéric Chopin (after the 1838 portrait by Eugène Delacroix). The collection also includes two larger prints depicting groups of figures in 19th-century attire engaged in social activities, resembling the Victorian genre paintings of artists such as Laslett John Pott. The prints are housed in a variety of frames: two large black frames with green mounts for the genre scenes, four white frames with gilt-beaded inner borders, and three stained wood frames with gilt fillets for the composer portraits. Printed inscriptions, credits, and historical notes are visible on several of the works.
