A late 19th or early 20th-century heater-shaped heraldic plaque, constructed from vitreous enamel on a heavy metal base. The shield features impaled armorial bearings. The dexter side (viewer’s left) consists of a white (argent) field charged with a gold (or) cross featuring red (gules) engrailed borders. The sinister side (viewer’s right) is divided horizontally (per fess) into blue (azure) and red (gules) fields, charged with three white roses of Yorkshire (argent, seeded or, barbed vert) arranged vertically (in pale). The plaque is designed for wall mounting, with three pre-drilled holes located at the upper corners and the base point. The reverse shows the untreated metal substrate with an old adhesive inventory label printed with the number 1009.
