The lid is decorated with a hand-painted landscape scene, depicting a traditional orange-roofed pavilion nestled among stylized green mountains and trees with red and white blossoms. The decoration is rendered with layered pigments and brushwork typical of mid-20th-century lacquerware. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the exterior.
