This studio art glass bowl is attributed to Mdina Glass, Malta, and is designed in the style of Michael Harris. The piece is of hand-blown, thick-walled construction with a slightly tapered cylindrical form. It features a cased glass technique where the interior displays a pattern of alternating horizontal bands in lime green and turquoise-coloured glass. This internal pattern is encased in a translucent turquoise-tinted outer layer which contains a dense distribution of fine, intentionally trapped seed bubbles throughout the body. The piece reflects the graphic aesthetic of Maltese studio glass production from the late 20th century, particularly the 1970s. No maker marks or signatures are visible.
