This decorative wall bracket, or corbel, is designed in the Baroque revival style and features a central figure of a putto. The figure is modelled in a dynamic pose, holding a tambourine in one hand, set against a backdrop of flowing drapery and scrolled architectural elements. The piece is constructed from chalkware, finished with a gilded surface applied over a white gesso ground and a reddish-brown bole. The base is of a heavy, scrolled form, designed to serve as an architectural support or a standalone wall ornament.
