A 19th-century theatre broadside for the Theatre, Doncaster, dated Friday, 19th October 1832. The playbill advertises a performance staged for the benefit of the company, with the theatre granted for free use by Mr. W. J. Hammond. The evening’s entertainment comprises multiple acts, beginning with Sheridan’s comedy Rivals! Or, A Trip to Bath, featuring a cast including Mr. W. Keene, Mr. Preston, Mr. Mude, Mr. Shaw, and Mr. W. J. Hammond. The programme continues with a specialty act titled Dancing Fencing Masters, or 1, 2, 3, and Away performed by Mr. Shaw and Mr. W. Keene, followed by a new vaudeville entitled The Kiss; Or, Pay to My Order. Additional segments include The Humours of a Country Fair by Mr. W. J. Hammond, a solo dance (pas seul) by Miss Sibrey, and the concluding farce A Dead Shot. The document features detailed cast lists for each production.
