A lot comprising two antique two-part interlocking nurse’s belt buckles. The first item is a sterling silver buckle mounted on a navy blue grosgrain ribbon belt. The buckle is of oval form with pierced openwork featuring foliate scrolls and a central stylized starburst or floral motif to each half. This piece bears full English hallmarks for London, 1907, including the lion passant, leopard’s head, and the date letter m, alongside the maker’s mark F.W, attributed to Frederick Winter. The second item is a large, ornate cast white metal buckle of rectangular form. The design consists of elaborate pierced work depicting figurative scenes, including cherubs or putti flanking central architectural and ornamental structures. This piece lacks visible hallmarks.
