A large Soviet-era porcelain study of a reclining mountain goat or ibex, produced by the Moscow Experimental Decorative Ceramics Plant (Moskovskii Zavod Izdelii). The figure is modelled in a resting pose on an integral shaped base, featuring a design that resembles the form of model number 466 by Christian Thomsen. The porcelain is finished with a clear glaze and features hand-painted underglaze and overglaze detailing in shades of grey, charcoal, and ochre to define the horns, muzzle, and anatomical features. The underside of the base features a stamped triangular factory mark containing the Cyrillic characters МЗИ (MZI) and an impressed number 12.
