A vintage wooden step ladder of tapered form, measuring 4ft in height. The construction features four wide wooden treads and a folding rear support frame. The sections are joined by decorative cast iron hinges on either side, which are cast with a central floral motif and the text LADDER on the upper arm and PIONEER on the lower arm. The unit is fitted with a central metal spreader mechanism. The frame is constructed from weathered timber showing visible traces of white paint splashes throughout, consistent with its practical history.
