Buyer's Premium:

An extensive collection of vintage metalware comprising silver-plated (EPNS) tableware, cased cutlery sets, and decorative brass items. The cased items include a fish cutlery set for six people featuring engraved silver-plated blades and tines with cream-coloured celluloid handles; the case interior bears a retailer label for Skinner and Robinson, Watchmakers and Jewellers, Frenchgate Doncaster, established 1841. Also present is a cased set of six dessert knives with cream-coloured celluloid handles and stainless steel blades, and a cased set of six silver-plated teaspoons in a fabric-lined presentation box. Silver-plated tableware includes a pair of small Corinthian column candlesticks, a sugar caster with a pierced domed lid and finial, two pierced circular flower frogs, a small cream jug, and an assortment of salt and pepper shakers in various baluster and cylindrical forms. Glass-lined items consist of a circular pierced silver-plated frame and a separate wire-frame basket, both containing cobalt blue glass liners. Serving accessories include a pair of shell-shaped butter dishes, one of which is hinged and contains a white opaque milk glass or porcelain liner, and a small hexagonal gallery tray with pierced sides accompanied by three small spoons. A cylindrical table lighter with a wood-clad body and metal mechanism is also included. The brassware comprises three assorted candlesticks, including one with a barley twist stem, a small goblet, and a figurine of a seated cat. No solid silver hallmarks were observed; items are identified as silver plate or stainless steel based on visible marks and surface characteristics.
