A collection of nineteen West German hand-painted porcelain figurines, rendered in the characteristic style of M.I. Hummel for Goebel. The lot features children in various whimsical and occupational poses, dressed in traditional Bavarian-style attire with a matte glaze finish. Included in the collection are a boy viewing through a telescope on a wooden tripod stand, a pharmacist boy holding a bottle labelled Vitamins, an angel playing a flute, and a newsboy reading a folded newspaper. Other figures depict a chimney sweep carrying a ladder and brush, a girl with a basket of yellow chicks, and a soldier boy in a peaked cap. The base of the newsboy figurine is marked Germany in black print; several other pieces feature incised characters and symbols on their bases which are not clearly legible.
