An empty vintage presentation box for Royal Crown Derby porcelain, specifically associated with the Derby Posies pattern. The square, shallow-form box is constructed from card with a printed paper lid and gold-toned textured paper sides. The lid features a dark navy blue ground decorated with a central cream-coloured scrolled cartouche containing a polychrome floral bouquet of roses and forget-me-nots. The design is framed by four cream banners in the corners bearing the words ROYAL, CROWN, DERBY, and CHINA. Additional decorative elements include a royal crown emblem above a stylised monogram and the printed text ESTABLISHED 1750. The borders are further embellished with gilded scrolling foliage and grape clusters. The sides of the box are finished in a gold-toned paper with a textured surface.
