A pair of cylindrical glass vases in a vibrant translucent blue colour. Each vase features a heavy, organic bark-effect texture typical of British mid-century studio and mass-market glass. The design is in the style of the Bark range produced by Whitefriars glassworks to the designs of Geoffrey Baxter, as well as the similar textured ranges by Ravenhead. The items are formed from thick mould-blown glass with a rugged, irregular surface intended to mimic natural textures. The rims are polished and even. There are no maker’s marks, signatures, or labels visible on either piece.
