An early 20th-century perpetual desk calendar of oak and brass construction. The piece features a brass faceplate decorated with a beaded border and two knurled knobs on the left side. The face has two apertures: a small oval window displaying the month and a larger rectangular central window showing a date grid from 1 to 31 alongside days of the week. The brass component is mounted to a solid oak frame and a chamfered rectangular base. The reverse includes a hinged oak door with a small brass pull-knob, opening to a compartment containing original printed paper cards for various months and an instruction card. The mechanism functions by manually aligning the specific month card behind the faceplate apertures.
