A Royal Doulton fine bone china figurine titled Catherine Parr, model HN 3450, from the Tudor Queens series. The hand-painted piece depicts the sixth wife of King Henry VIII seated in a brown high-backed chair. She is dressed in a deep red gown with yellow stripe detailing, a white ruff collar, and a dark gable hood. The subject is shown holding an open book, with a stack of three further books on an adjacent side table and a small light brown sighthound resting its head on her lap. The underside bears the Royal Doulton factory backstamp with the lion and crown mark, model title, and HN number. It is a limited edition piece, hand-numbered 1526 from an edition of 9,500. The base also displays the printed signature of the modeller Pauline Parsons, a 1993 copyright date, a hand-painted PS mark in black, and a gold foil inspection sticker.
