A Royal Doulton limited edition hand-painted porcelain figurine depicting King Henry VIII, model number HN 3458. The figure is presented in a characteristic standing pose, dressed in elaborate Tudor period attire including a dark green fur-lined robe, a red and gold doublet with slashed sleeves, a gold-toned chain of office, and a dark feathered cap. The piece is set upon a circular grey-toned base. The underside features the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp, accompanied by the text hand made and hand decorated and MADE IN ENGLAND. This specific piece is recorded as number 746 from a limited edition of 9,500. The base is also inscribed with the name of the modeller, P. Parsons, and a 1994 copyright date. An original paper inspection sticker and four protective felt pads are present on the underside.
