Another Great Auction
This lot comprises two decorative metalware items. The first is a freestanding arched wine rack of wrought metal construction with a patinated silver-grey finish. It is designed to accommodate seventeen bottles across five tiered rows. The frame is ornamented with scrolling vine motifs featuring applied green-painted metal leaves and clusters of translucent purple glass grapes. The rack is topped with a spiral-wrapped metal handle and stands on four scrolling feet. It includes a lower shelf section with horizontal slats, possibly constructed from wood or bamboo. The second item is a stylized animal sculpture of a pig, constructed from white-painted wire mesh. The sculpture features a curly wire tail, pointed ears, and four solid feet.
