Another Great Auction
A set of eight miniature pink jasperware items, attributed to Wedgwood. This collection is crafted from matte stoneware in a terracotta-pink hue, featuring applied white sprigged bas-relief decoration in the Neoclassical taste. The relief work includes classical figures, cherubs at play, and fruiting vine garlands. The set consists of an oval tray with a scalloped edge, a miniature teapot with a lid, a lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, a teacup with matching saucer, a ring tree stand with a central pillar, and a circular dish featuring three indentations to the rim. While the forms and decoration are highly characteristic of pieces produced by Wedgwood, no factory marks or backstamps are visible in the provided images to allow for a definitive identification.
