Another Great Auction
This set of twenty fine bone china tea service pieces is manufactured by Royal Albert in the Old Country Roses pattern. The decoration features transfer-printed clusters of burgundy-red, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage. Each piece is finished with a heavy sponged gold rim on scalloped edges. The teacups conform to the Montrose shape. The base of the pieces bears a backstamp with a floral rose cluster and the text Old Country Roses in pink cursive script, and ROYAL ALBERT BONE CHINA ENGLAND in green block capitals. The set comprises teacups, saucers, and a cream jug.
