An Imperial Model 60 desktop typewriter manufactured by the Imperial Typewriter Co. Ltd. in Leicester, England. The machine is finished in a charcoal grey textured crinkle paint and features an extra-wide carriage designed for ledger or large-format document work. It possesses a QWERTY keyboard layout with grey plastic keycaps. The lot is accompanied by a separate instructional paper diagram titled THE TYPEWRITER KEYBOARD showing finger positioning. The rear of the chassis displays a printed marking reading MANUFACTURED BY Imperial Typewriter Co. Ltd. LEICESTER, ENG. positioned beneath a royal coat of arms decal. A dealer label for G.W. CLARK (CLEVELAND STATIONERY) LTD. of Doncaster is also affixed to the rear. A small paper label marked ONLY V.A.7 Co. is adhered to the left side of the carriage.
