Another Great Auction
A collection of Masonic ceremonial regalia and clothing, featuring items associated with the Knights Templar and Royal Arch degrees. The group is led by a cream-coloured hooded mantle or robe featuring a prominent red cross on the chest and back. Included is a Master Mason apron of white leather and light blue silk, accented with blue rosettes and silver-tone metal clasps. Also present are two Royal Arch sashes displaying a red and blue diamond geometric pattern, each fitted with a gold-tone triangular emblem. The collection further includes a maroon felt glengarry cap with gold-coloured braiding, a black ribbed silk sash with heavy fringed tassels and a metallic badge, and a small red booklet. A woven manufacturer label on the interior of the black sash is inscribed Masonic Manufrs, Spencer and Co., Estb 1801, 19, 20 and 21 Gt. Queen St., London. W.C.
