Buyer's Premium:

A comprehensive collection of British railway ephemera and ticketing history, presented within a modern ring-bound album. The collection spans nearly a century, from the pre-nationalisation era of the 1920s through to the early 21st century.

Material includes a variety of transit labels and tickets. Pre-nationalisation items feature L.N.E.R. (London and North Eastern Railway) and L.M.S.R. (London, Midland and Scottish Railway) parcel and routing labels, with printed text such as Via Birmingham and G.W., Via Carlisle and L. N. E. R., and L.N.E.R. PARCEL From DERBY via NOTTINGHAM.

The British Transport Commission era is represented by 1950s weekly season tickets for routes including Sheffield (Midland) to Leeds (City) and Leeds (City) to Rotherham (Masboro’). A notable item is a 1954 Holiday Run-About Ticket for Area No. 7(A), which includes a printed map of the Mallaig, Fort William, and Loch Nevis lines on its reverse.

The collection further details the British Rail era with platform tickets from Doncaster dated 1989 and excess travel tickets from Newcastle Central. Post-privatisation material includes seat reservation slips and ticket stock from GNER, Virgin Trains, and InterCity, alongside early 2000s London Underground and National Rail tickets. The items are organised within clear plastic multi-pocket sleeves.

Album dimensions: 32cm x 26cm.
