Another Great Auction
A collection of seven Swatch wristwatches in various styles and materials. The group includes a Swatch Skin (c. 2002) featuring an ultra-thin clear plastic case, a champagne-toned dial with Arabic numerals at the quarters and dot indices, fitted with a burgundy fabric strap. Also present is a 1986 Sir Swatch (GN101) model with a clear (yellowed) plastic case and a heraldic coat-of-arms dial, on a translucent green plastic strap. A mountain-themed model features a black plastic case and a graphic dial depicting a stylized peak against a sky background with a Roman numeral XII. The lot includes a Swatch Gong (GB413, c. 1990) with a multi-coloured geometric dial and Chinese characters. Further items include a skeletonised model with a neon yellow case ring and matching silicone strap, a smaller Gent model with a brown concentric patterned dial on a distressed beige strap, and a square Irony model featuring a black dial and Arabic numerals housed in a smoky translucent shroud with an open-work metal link bracelet. Movements are assumed to be quartz.
