Another Great Auction
A collection of decorative ceramics including figurines and cabinet pieces. The lot features a pair of hand-painted porcelain figurines depicting a courting couple in 18th-century style costume, with the male holding a pink parasol and the female holding a fan, both set on naturalistic bases. Included is a Shelley fine bone china cup from the Dog Studies series by Lucy Dawson, bearing the printed mark No L.D. 1/2 and a hand-painted red asterisk to the base. There is also an Aynsley bone china royal commemorative cup and saucer decorated with a heraldic crest and a green laurel border. Completing the collection are two bone china plates with gilt edges, each featuring a central floral spray, with one plate signed W. Birbeck.
