Another Great Auction
A vintage sterling silver cocktail ring produced by the British manufacturer Thomas L. Mott. The ring features an oval glass cabochon containing a vibrant iridescent blue Morpho butterfly wing. The underside of the glass is hand-painted with a tropical landscape scene, depicting a silhouetted palm tree and a red sun against a blue and purple sky with a yellow and green shoreline. The centerpiece is held in a bezel setting with a finely milled border. The shoulders of the ring feature a stepped geometric design characteristic of the Art Deco period. The interior of the band is stamped with the maker mark T.L.M., STERLING, and ENGLAND.
