This collection comprises three vintage classical music vinyl record box sets. The first set is Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, featuring Kathleen Ferrier, Greet Koeman, and Nel Duval with the Chorus and Orchestra of the Netherlands Opera conducted by Charles Bruck. It is a complete live performance recorded in Amsterdam in 1951, released on the EMI / His Master’s Voice label, catalogue number RLS 725. The records feature black labels with the Nipper dog logo and the set includes an illustrated inner booklet. The second set contains Robert Schumann’s The Four Symphonies, along with the Manfred-Overture and the Overture, Scherzo and Finale. These are performed by the Dresden State Orchestra conducted by Wolfgang Sawallisch and released on the EMI / His Master’s Voice label, catalogue number SLS 867. The records feature red labels and the set includes a blue inner booklet. The cover features a landscape painting after Caspar David Friedrich. The third set is Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier, performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Vienna State Opera Chorus conducted by Erich Kleiber. This is a mono recording on the Decca label featuring red labels and includes a cast list and libretto. The cast includes Maria Reining, Ludwig Weber, Sena Jurinac, and Hilde Gueden.
