A collection of commemorative hardcover books and a souvenir medal relating to the British Monarchy, primarily focusing on late 19th and early 20th-century events. The group includes Her Majesty’s Glorious Jubilee 1897, bound in red textured cloth with gilt lettering; The Illustrated London News Coronation Record Number, featuring an ornate polychrome cover in red, green, and gold, published at 172, Strand, London; a Coronation Souvenir Book 1937 bound in gold-coloured cloth; and two matching red cloth-bound volumes with heavy blind-stamped decoration and gilt text titled The Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth and Our King & Queen and the Royal Princesses, both bearing the GR VI cypher. Other volumes include George V and Edward VIII in purple cloth; a blue volume with a gilt royal coat of arms and facsimile signature Edward; The Story of the Coronation 1937 in blue cloth; a black volume marked with the years 1895-1952; and a silver-grey book dated 1935. Accompanied by an octagonal base-metal souvenir medal with a red, white, and blue ribbon. The obverse of the medal bears a portrait of King Edward VIII with the text H.M. KING EDWARD VIII, while the reverse is inscribed TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION OF KING EDWARD VIII MAY 12TH 1937 and ASCENDED THRONE JAN 20TH 1936.
