The fireplace items feature an Art Deco style chrome-plated companion set with yellow conical plastic finials, possibly Bakelite, comprising a shovel, tongs, poker, and hearth brush, housed in a matching chrome-framed stand with a yellow expanded metal mesh cone. Also included is a second chrome-plated set with a trumpet-shaped base containing a shovel, tongs, and poker. The lot further contains three brass-toned metal long-handled fireplace tools: a poker with a fleur-de-lis finial and two toasting forks with cast decorative handles, one featuring a heraldic crest. Laundry items consist of a traditional heavy-duty black cast iron flat iron with a detachable wooden-handled grip, embossed with LONDON on the upper surface.
