A large collection of British paper ephemera and postcards spanning the early to late 20th century. The lot contains topographical postcards depicting various UK locations including Barnsley, Loughborough, Whitley Bay, Newquay, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Swanage. The collection features a mix of real photo monochrome cards, mid-century colour prints, and later chrome-style postcards. Included are specialist industrial and local history publications such as Pit Work Past: Underground mining scenes from the turn of the century published by the Yorkshire Miner, and Bygone Barnsley. Other items comprise a Swanage View photo-colour letter card by Dennis, a Frith’s Pictorial printed matter envelope, and various greeting cards. Specific cards include a street scene of New Street, Barnsley, and various town views of Loughborough. Notable publishers identified include John Hinde, Frith’s, Dennis, and Engale Marketing.
