In the style of Kosta Boda, this hand-blown clear glass bowl of shallow, undulating form dates to the mid-to-late 20th century. The piece features dense amethyst spatter inclusions throughout the body, radiating from the centre. The rim is irregularly shaped with a single decorative fold to one side. The bowl exhibits a polished base, typical of hand-finished studio glass. The technique and appearance are highly characteristic of the Meteor or Batik series designed by Ulrica Hydman Vallien, although the piece is unmarked.
