A UK King George III copper halfpenny, dated 1806. The obverse features a laureate and draped bust of the monarch facing right, with the legend GEORGIUS III · D · G · REX · 1806. The reverse depicts Britannia seated facing left, holding a trident and resting against a shield bearing the Union Jack, with the legend BRITANNIA. This coin was struck at the Soho Mint in Birmingham using steam-powered presses.
