A collection of UK commemorative and circulation-strike coins. The group includes several crown-sized denominations, including a 1980 commemorative crown celebrating the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, featuring the obverse legend QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER 1900-1980. Another commemorative piece is a 1972 Silver Wedding anniversary crown. The collection also contains Elizabeth II young head issues with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. and a reverse design of cruciform shields. George VI coinage is present, showing the left-facing effigy and the legend GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX. The coins are struck in silver-coloured metal, consistent with cupro-nickel and potentially .500 fine silver for earlier George VI issues.
