A collection of five historical paper documents and records from Poland, Germany, and Mandate Palestine, spanning the First World War through to the end of the Second World War.
The lot includes an Imperial German Militärpaß (Military Pass) with a reddish-pink cover featuring the Imperial eagle. Internal pages document the service history of a soldier in the 3. Batt. II Ers-Abt. Feldart. Rgt. 71 (3rd Battery, II Ersatz Battalion, 71st Field Artillery Regiment). Entries record various deployments starting in October 1914 and concluding with a discharge date of 30 January 1919.
The collection features three Polish documents from the interwar period: a Postal Savings Bank deposit book (Książeczka Wkładkowa) issued by the Pocztowa Kasa Oszczędności w Warszawie, bearing the Polish eagle emblem; a Communal Savings Bank book (Książeczka Oszczędnościowa) from the Błonie District in Grodzisk, issued to Mieczysław Krajewski of Błonie under account number 1317; and a standard identity card (Dowód Osobisty) issued by the Magistrate of the Capital City of Warsaw.
Also included is a handwritten Polish-language postcard sent from Tiberias (Tyberiada), Mandate Palestine, dated 1 May 1945. It is addressed to Anna Skorynkiewicz in Jerusalem, care of the Polish Red Cross (Polski Czerwony Krzyż). The card bears a red 10m Palestine postage stamp with a circular postmark dated 1 MY 45.
