A trio of volumes containing various works by William Shakespeare. The first volume is a pocket-sized edition of Othello the Moor of Venice, including a glossary and a selection of sonnets. It is bound in brown leatherette with gilt spine lettering and decorative bands. The title page identifies the publisher as Burgess & Bowes, Ltd., Waterloo Road, London, N.W.2. The second volume is a hardcover edition of The Sonnets, bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. The third and largest volume is an edition of Shakespeare Tragedies, published by Collins. This volume is bound in dark green textured cloth or leatherette, featuring a decorative foliate design in white or silver on the spine alongside gilt lettering. The Collins volume retains a clear plastic protective wrapper.
