This lot comprises an extensive collection of vintage ephemera and household collectibles, primarily from the mid-to-late 20th century. The collection features a large quantity of vintage matchboxes and matchbooks housed in a cardboard box. These covers represent various British brands and themes, including multiple examples of Joshua Tetley and Son Tetley Ales with huntsman illustrations, a series of Hollywood Stars boxes including one for Spencer Tracy, and pub sign themed boxes such as The New Inn, The Eagle, and The Ash Tree. Commercial examples include a Mobil matchbox and a black Mirage matchbook. Other subjects shown on the covers include transportation, nature, and topographical views.
The collection also includes a rectangular black metal commemorative tin produced for The Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977.
