A collection of multiple volumes of The Children’s Encyclopedia, also titled on the spines as The Wonderland of Knowledge, edited by Arthur Mee. The volumes are bound in uniform blue textured cloth with decorative gilt-stamped spines. The spine ornamentation includes Victorian-style architectural tower motifs and foliate scrolls. The gilt text on the spines identifies the title, editor, volume number, and inclusive page ranges for each book. Visible volumes in this lot include numbers 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. Volume 12 contains pages 8121 to 8832, and Volume 6 contains pages 3725 to 4468. The books are presented in a large octavo format.
Each volume measures approximately 24.5 cm x 17 cm.
