A collection of twelve porcelain collector plates from The Official Beano Plate Collection, produced by Danbury Mint under licence from D.C. Thomson and Co. Ltd., circa 2001. Each plate features a central character from the iconic British comic magazine, including Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, Lord Snooty, Biffo the Bear, Billy Whizz, Ball Boy, The Three Bears, Little Plum, Jonah, and Roger the Dodger. The central illustrations are surrounded by circular comic strip vignettes depicting various scenes and are finished with a gold-toned rim. Every plate in the collection is accompanied by its corresponding Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Robert Olswang on behalf of Danbury Mint. The items are housed within their original protective polystyrene cases.
