A collection of four railway-themed playing card sets and card games. The group includes a Railfreight Speedlink presentation set, housed in a black hinged case with a red lining. This set was commissioned for the Yorkshire/Humberside Railfreight Exhibition in Doncaster, dated 15th July 1980. It contains two decks of playing cards with blue and burgundy backs respectively, each featuring a locomotive illustration, the British Rail double-arrow logo, and the slogan THE FAST GROWING NAME IN FREIGHT. The collection also features a deck of National Railway Museum (NRM) playing cards in a red cardboard tuck box and a deck of Steamtown playing cards in a yellow plastic base with a clear lid. The visible card in the Steamtown set shows a photograph of a green steam locomotive labeled STEAMTOWN. Additionally, there is a vintage Ian Allan’s Trains Card Game from the Pepys Series, featuring a colour illustration of a green steam locomotive on the box and marked GREAT BRITAIN.
