A 15-inch Art Deco style chryselephantine-type figure depicting a female dancer in a dynamic, lunging pose with outstretched arms, in the manner of Ferdinand Preiss. The figure is constructed from a dark-patinated cast metal featuring cold-painted gold-toned accents on the scrolled bodice and sleeves. The head and hands are crafted from a cream-coloured composite material, such as ivorine or resin. The dancer is balanced on one foot and mounted via a metal support to a tiered, circular marble plinth with prominent white and grey veining on a black ground. No artist signatures, foundry marks, or stamps are visible on the figure or the base.
Height: 15 inches.
