A collection of military and naval history publications featuring official Royal Navy manuals and Osprey Publishing reference booklets. The lot includes three Royal Navy manuals: Manual of Seamanship Vol. II (B.R. 68, 1932), published by His Majesty’s Stationery Office (HMSO) for the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, bound in dark blue publisher’s cloth with a ‘SUPPLIED FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE’ ink stamp; A Seaman’s Pocket-Book (B.R. 827, June 1943), a wartime instructional manual; and The Gunnery Pocket Book (B.R. 224/45, 1945), bound in light blue publisher’s cloth.
Also included are six softcover booklets from the Osprey ‘Men-at-Arms’ and ‘Elite’ series, providing detailed historical accounts and colour plate illustrations of military uniforms and warfare. Titles comprise: The Jacobite Rebellions 1689-1745 (No. 118); Mughul India 1504-1761 (No. 263); Napoleon’s Marshals (No. 87); The Normans (Elite No. 9); The Age of Charlemagne (No. 150); and Arthur and the Anglo-Saxon Wars (No. 154).
