A mid-20th century modernist statement ring, attributed to the Swedish silversmith Bengt Liljedahl. The ring features a large, oval cabochon of mottled blue sodalite, held within a plain bezel setting. The stone displays a range of blue tones with characteristic white and grey inclusions and a natural, slightly matte surface texture. It is mounted upon a broad, flat-sectioned silver shank with a brushed finish. The exterior of the shank bears a single stamped mark depicting a stylized vertical sword or dagger.
