This lot comprises two vintage English dolls of African descent dating from the mid-20th century. One doll features an embossed cursive Pedigree maker mark to the back of the neck. It is constructed of hard plastic with moulded and painted black hair and sleep eyes with lashes. This doll is presented unclothed. The second doll is marked to the upper back with embossed block capitals CHILTERN MADE IN ENGLAND. It is also of hard plastic construction with moulded and painted black hair and sleep eyes. This doll is dressed in a period-style yellow cotton dress with a white lace-trimmed pinafore. Both dolls have articulated heads and limbs.
