A collection of UK commemorative crowns struck in cupro-nickel, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The assembly comprises various issues including the 1965 Winston Churchill memorial crown, the 1977 Silver Jubilee crown featuring the equestrian portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II, the 1980 crown commemorating the 80th birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and the 1981 Royal Wedding crown. The obverse designs typically feature the Arnold Machin or Mary Gillick portraits of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. and the year of issue. Several coins are housed in original bank presentation folders from National Westminster Bank and Trustee Savings Bank, while others are in protective plastic sleeves. The entire collection is contained within a vintage King Edward Imperial cigar box.
