A khaki military pilotka side cap constructed from a cotton and wool blend fabric. The cap is heavily embellished with an assortment of Soviet-era and post-1991 Russian Federation metal enamel pins and cloth patches, indicative of a veteran’s commemorative piece or souvenir assembly. One side features a prominent black shield-shaped patch for the Russian Armed Forces (Vooruzhennye Sily) with the national tricolour and the text Rossiya. The reverse side displays a red shield-shaped cloth patch featuring the Soviet Army emblem of a gold five-pointed star with a hammer and sickle within a laurel wreath.
