This assortment features ceramic and wooden models depicting traditional traveller themed vehicles and horses. The group includes a large glazed ceramic heavy horse, in the style of Beswick, finished in a dark brown glaze with white feathering on the legs and a white blaze. This figure is outfitted in a detailed harness with red and black straps and metal chain accents, hitched to a wooden flatbed cart carrying two wooden barrels. The cart is constructed with metal rimmed wheels and long wooden shafts. Also included is a smaller glazed ceramic heavy horse, finished in a black glaze with white feathering and a white blaze, featuring a moulded harness. The collection is completed by a handcrafted wooden model of a traditional bow top vardo gypsy caravan. This model features a curved roof with a woven texture, rear mounted wooden steps, and two shafts. The interior of the caravan contains a hand written inscription on an internal horizontal support beam reading Traveller.
The large horse and cart assembly is the largest component, with the smaller horse being approximately half the height of the larger figure.
