A collection of three static model steam locomotives from The Great British Locomotives Collection partwork series. Each model is constructed from die-cast metal with plastic detailing and is mounted on a black plastic display plinth with gold-tone printed text. The first model is a 1928 GWR 4575 Class small prairie tank engine, number 5542, in green livery with G W R side-tank lettering. The second is a 1952 LMS/BR Class 2MT 2-6-2T tank engine, number 41302, in black livery with the early British Railways lion-and-wheel crest. The third is an 1825 Stockton and Darlington Locomotion No. 1, George Stephenson’s pioneering engine, in metallic grey. All three models are presented in their original clear plastic blister packaging. The base of each package carries a barcode label indicating a fortnightly retail price of 8.99 pounds and specific issue numbers 18, 38, and 41.
