A varied collection of mid-20th-century ladies’ vanity items and accessories. The assortment includes numerous powder compacts in round, square, and octagonal forms. These feature various decorative finishes such as engine-turned metal, guilloche enamel (including a rectangular yellow example with a pink beaded border), and hand-painted floral designs. One octagonal compact is set with a floral-printed porcelain or ceramic plaque. The lot also contains several rectangular metal cases, including an Art Deco style example with black and gold vertical banding. A notable large cobalt blue glass vanity jar is included, topped with a silver-tone lid featuring an interlaced script monogram. Further items comprise folding mirrors with printed floral covers, a small embroidered textile case, and a square black lacquer-style box with gold-tone Chinoiserie foliage. One round gilt compact bears a retail or stock label numbered 4643. While the designs are characteristic of British manufacturers such as Stratton or Kigu, no definitive maker’s marks are visible on the exterior surfaces.
