The collection includes a drafting instrument set housed in a hinged mahogany-toned wooden case with a black velvet-lined interior, containing various brass and steel instruments such as compasses, dividers, and ruling pens, several featuring white handles. A set of miniature brass pocket balance scales is contained within a purple velvet-lined case, featuring circular brass pans suspended by green threads and a small metal weight. Also included is a vintage cased manicure set in a brown leatherette-style hinged case with a red velvet interior, containing a complement of steel implements including scissors, nail clippers, files, and tweezers. A cardboard box for a Strop Hone is present, with text stating WILL MAKE ANY RAZOR BEHAVE and identifying the manufacturer as Pike Mfg. Co., Pike, N.H., U.S.A. The lot further comprises a white plastic container holding prepared microscope slides with printed labels including HOUSEFLY LEGS W.M. and EPIDERMIS ONION W.M., a yellow molded plastic case with a label marked PIFCO SWISS MADE, and an original cardboard box for a REMINGTON StitchMate portable sewing machine. A black soft-sided leatherette pouch and a chrome-finished metal accessory are also included within the blue plastic transport crate.
